Description
Mant Multilingual runs one WordPress and WooCommerce site in more than one language. The language your site is written in stays at the root, and every language you translate into is served under its own prefix, such as /de/.
Nothing is copied. Translations live in the plugin’s own tables and are laid over the original when a translated address is requested, so the original post is never edited, duplicated or republished.
What you can translate
- Pages, posts and custom post types: title, content, excerpt and address.
- Block content piece by piece — every heading, paragraph, button and list is its own field beside the original it belongs to.
- Navigation menus. An item that names a page follows that page’s own translation.
- WooCommerce product name, description and short description.
- Categories and tags.
Built for a shop
There is one product, with one price, one stock figure, one SKU and one set of downloads. The order remembers the language it was placed in, and customer emails, notes and invoices are rendered in it, while mail to the shop owner stays in the admin language. HPOS and both the classic and the block checkout are covered. WooCommerce is optional: the plugin works just as well on a site without a shop.
Found by search engines
The right html lang for the language being served, a canonical for that language’s own address, hreflang links between the languages with x-default on the source, and a sitemap section per language listing only published translations.
Free, and free of strings
GPL-3.0, with no paid tier, no licence key and no locked features. There are no external calls at all: no translation service, no licence server, no usage reporting. Everything the plugin stores stays in your own database. Deactivating it leaves your site exactly as it was, and uninstalling removes the plugin’s own data only when you have explicitly asked for that.
Requires WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. WooCommerce 9.0 or later is optional.
